A leading global grocery business is looking for an aquaculture manager to manage and deliver their farmed fish strategy and policy and facilitate key internal and external stakeholder management and collaboration. This role will involve relationship building, driving improvements, cross category working and building plans to protect the supply chains for the future. Key Accountabilities: * Be the business expert on farmed fish * Develop the long term strategy for the farmed fish across the business * Challenge existing standards and ways of working to push the boundaries and deliver improvements * Work closely with farmers and processors to build stronger relationships, offer support and guidance and up-skill where necessary so they can execute improvement plans and ultimately more sustainable supply chains and a better product for the customer * Work cross functionally and across multiple categories to ensure a consistent approach is delivered and provide advice when challenges arise * Build relationships with external stakeholders, such as NGOs in order to support industry wide initiatives Skills and Experience Required: * A degree or higher in agriculture or animal science, fisheries management or a related subject * Experience working within the fish, meat or farming industry, ideally with experience working overseas * Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships internally and throughout the industry * A proven record of creating strategy and implementing change * Strong influencing skills and a tenacious attitude * An ability to coach and train * A willingness to travel This position is critical to the business as it goes through a period of transformation and will therefore offer an experienced aquaculture or agriculture manager a great opportunity to deliver real change within a great company and within the industry as a whole.
