An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and creative Swimwear Designer to join the dynamic Design team of one of the biggest brands in the fashion retail industry. As the Swimwear Designer, you will be responsible for: · Working closely with the buying and quality and technical teams to design a creative and commercial range, and ensuring that all designs are reflected accurately in the samples and prototypes. · Creating mood boards to present the design vision, including colours, shapes and styles. · Effectively managing your workload to complete all designs within the time frame. · Keeping up to date with the current trends and industry developments though comprehensive trend and competitor research, ensuring at all times that the brands product offerings are in line with the preference of the target market. The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills and experience: · A strong background in ladies swimwear design from a successful UK retailer, or key supplier to the high street. · Degree or equivalent in Fashion or Textiles. · Excellent communication skills. · Exceptional organisational and planning skills. · Experience of leading and managing junior members of the team. · Strong knowledge of current fashion and market trends along with excellent commercial awareness.
