A unique and exciting opportunity has opened for a talented and creative Childrens Footwear Designer to join the dynamic Design team of one of the biggest names in the fashion retail industry. As Childrens Footwear Designer, you will be responsible for: * Keeping up to date with the current trends, ensuring that the brands product offerings are in line with the preference of the target market. * Close coordination with the Buying team to ensure that all designs are reflected properly in the samples and prototypes. * Effectively managing your workload to complete all designs within required time frame. * Creating mood boards to present the design vision, including colours, shapes and styles. Presenting ranges in meetings with product teams * Working closely with QA/Technologists to ensure quality and fit of product meets the required and expected standards. The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills and qualifications: * Degree or equivalent in fashion or footwear design * Substantial experience of designing childrens and/or boys/girls footwear * Proficient in CAD and hand-drawing. Advanced Illustrator skills are essential. * Excellent communication skills * Exceptional organisational and planning skills * Strong fashion and commercial awareness, knowledge of latest industry trends and developments This is a truly fantastic opportunity to continue to learn and develop as a design professional in a modern and highly creative work environment.
