An international FMCG company is currently looking for a Product Manager to be based from their head office in the Hertfordshire area. Your main responsibilities will include: · Creating and sustaining relationships with both external customers and other parts of the company · Keeping up to date with product development and market prices · Gain a deep understanding of brand’s products, categories and the Grocery environment. · Analyse and evaluate Nielson and customer EPOS data to provide an understanding of brand and retail brand developments, exposing gaps and opportunities within the market. · Create monthly internal sales reports · Coordinate meetings on a monthly/bi-monthly basis to review team’s performance. · Assess sales performance of retailers for new launches utilising (when available) retailer systems or via brands own sales systems. Specifically review promotions to measure effectiveness. · Manage NPD database that is vital part of brand’s process. · Analyse and evaluate competitor developments throughout the UK & Europe. Highlighting promotional, new product development and the monitoring of price positioning. · Assist with packaging process, ensuring deadlines and product quality are up to standards. · Responsible for creating and sustaining all sales support for brand. To be successful in this role you shall have: · Previous relevant product management experience · Strong interpersonal skills · Good communication skills · High attention to detail, getting off the ground running is essential · Influencing skills - will need to manage people and get buy in without direct authority · Organised and Structured · Analytical ability - PC literate and able to crunch numbers · High level of business acumen & commercially aware of the decisions taken and the impact they could have · Bright enough to handle Business Strategy, to be able to understand the “bigger picture” and be able to implement winning action plans. · A degree in Business or Marketing (or equivalent) This is a hugely successful business in their area which has shown significant growth over the last 5 years.
