Job Description

This high-profile publishing company seeks a driven and enthusiastic Journalist to deliver gripping and up-to-date sports based articles. No sport is off-limits as you are given free reign to report on the latest and most interesting happenings in the world of sport. Responsibilities: * Monitor and report on world sports events, staying current with stories/results as they are broken by means of TV/Radio/Social Media/Web * Research local and regional sports and find interesting stories of local significance * Conduct face-to-face or telephone interviews to support your articles * Writing original and engaging sporting articles in English * Remain active on social media networks and manage discussions on company’s sites * Gathering information from various different sources to create an original article. Person specification: * Superb command of the English language * Rabid sports fan with an in-depth knowledge of many sports internationally * The ability to sound interesting and original when writing articles * At least 1 year of sports journalism experience * Incredible attention to detail * Effective team player * Comfortable in high-pressure deadline driven situations
