Retail Gazette is a well established and highly respected free-to-access retail news publication which is based online. We are currently looking for an experienced Journalist to join our team in West London as Deputy Editor. As Deputy Editor, you will work on a wide range of digital projects from day-to-day news reporting, feature articles, interviews with key retail industry figures and advertorials as well as commissioning content from regular contributors to the publication. As Deputy Editor, your key responsibilities will include: * Responsibility for producing high quality content for the website * Creating and maintaining relationship with key agencies and industry figures * Attending meetings and events as Retail Gazette representative in order to promote the brand and create commercial opportunities * Subbing and proofreading articles and uploading content using the website CMS * Promoting Retail Gazette through social networks e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube * Assisting with the creation and distribution of email newsletters, surveys and promotional materials To be successful in this role, you must be educated to degree level or equivalent and be fully NCTJ qualified with direct, paid journalistic experience. You will need excellent proofreading and subbing skills and be commercially minded with the ability to work independently within a small team.
