Job Description

A leading international wholesale business distributing household brands all over the world is recruiting for a Research Analyst to provide support to the Sales, Marketing and Commercial teams by producing data relating to the global food export markets. The company has an impressive portfolio of over 20,000 products including all major household brands and distribute to over 500 customers. As Research Analyst, you will be responsible for: * Competitor and supplier analysis * Developing an external publication to raise the business's profile * Using a range of data sources to produce meaningful reports around category, product, price and competitor activity * Analysis of historic sales data by category, region, country and other criteria, to assist in forecasting * Redefining UK export data flows * Pulling data from SQL and DBISAM * Analysis of product and price data to assist in evaluating the company's market position * Supporting in the publication of an export book to be widely used by customers and suppliers * Assisting in raising the company's profile The ideal candidate will have: * A degree or equivalent, preferably within a business or research related discipline * Previously worked within a commercial FMCG or Retail environment * Experience in statistical analysis and report writing * An advanced level of database management expertise Please apply if you are currently working as a: * Category Analyst * Category Executive * Research Analyst * Market Research Analyst * Insights Executive In return for your hard work, you will receive a generous salary and benefits package as well as a bonus.
