A leading business in the retail channel offering a premium selection of products ranges is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner to join its team on a 6 month temp to perm basis due to internal promotion. The successful candidate will be expected to: * Define the supply chain critical path for key trading periods and major business change * Ensure milestones are achieved on time, to agreed cost and quality targets and raise issues to management * Co-ordinate store developments and crisis management for supply chain * Seek out and champion process improvements for the Supply Chain team * Develop excellent relationships with store operations, attending relevant operational meetings to keep informed of activity/plans and gain regular feedback * Work closely with the Logistics team on warehouse-related initiatives * Generate information, analysis and commentary to explain and enhance performance in the supply chain * Support the Supply Chain team in optimising stock and sales performance including new report design, testing & sign off * Deliver reports on time, and 100% accurate (Train teams as appropriate on new reports) * Take charge of annual budgeting and re-forecasts, working closely with the Finance team and Supply Chain Managers The ideal candidate will have: * Experience of planning, organising and prioritising within a Retail background * Experience in Supply Chain industry metrics * An analytical approach with a high degree of numeracy while also possessing excellent communication skills at all levels * Pro-active cross-category and cross-functional experience * Advanced Microsoft Excel and database skills * Technical: SAP, BOARD, COGNOS would be desirable * An excellent track record of delivery In return, you will receive a generous salary and the opportunity to build on your existing knowledge of Supply Chain Planning.
