A position has arisen within this premium fashion brand, for a Multi-Product Womenswear Designer. As a key member of the Design team, you will be responsible for adhering to the brand's existing aesthetic and reworking design classics to create a desirable Womenswear offering to compliment existing lines. Initial design phases will be conducted alongside the Design Director & Design Manager. You must be able to develop mood and trend directions and develop a collection consistent with the existing brand identity. As Womenswear Designer, your duties will include: * Designing multi-product, including Outerwear, Tailoring, Jersey, Wovens and Denim * Fabric research and development to the final fitting stage * Closely managing the process from concept stage through to specs and final designs * Designing garments for all seasons, creating colour palettes for the ranges and creating factory packs alongside the Product Developers to forward to factories for creation of garment samples * Presenting the range for sign off and adjustments * Communicating information clearly and accurately to the Product & Technical Development teams to ensure correct sampling & costings are achieved You will also be involved in developing the Accessories line and giving direction to Design Assistants. Strong CAD skills are key, as is the ability to range plan, work alongside Product Developers and create detailed technical specs. Your portfolio should be directional and demonstrate an ability to think outside the box while being able to maintain an excellent commercial eye. You should have good knowlege of design history and contemporary brands globally and should have experience working with a globally recognised brand, ideally in the UK, Europe or USA. You must have experience as a Womenswear Designer within branded fashion, ideally with a globally recognised band. In addition you should have the following key skills and experience: * Managing relationships with factories and suppliers * Creativity and style * Proven track record of delivering in-season product * Proven ability to manage internal relationships and communications * Project management experience * Ability to work as an individual and part of a team with a hands-on approach * Fantastic communication skills and the ability to connect with & inspire people at different levels * Time management and prioritisation skills * Ability to perform under pressure * Commercial awareness and the ability to keep abreast of current season trends & sales and create fast-react products in-season to meet demands This is a truly unique role with an exciting fashion brand so if you are interested please apply today!
