Our client is a Global brand and is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its World Class Manufacturing Team to drive improvement in the business in areas of project management, health and safety, quality, cost management, people development and product delivery and production. You will be accountable for: Manufacturing: * Support in the generation of technical specification documentation when planning the procurement and installation of all major facilities and bespoke equipment items. * Support in the development of all vehicle assembly process feasibility activities * Support the production operations team in the delivery to plan of all volume, quality and cost business objectives Quality * Ensure all quality targets are correctly specified and achieved. * Support the manufacturing engineering manager with continuous improvement initiatives. * Support the Product Design Engineering team in identifying resolutions for product related issues during the digital and prototype development phases, to protect the product in the field and enhance brand strength. Projects * Support with the development of departmental budgets as contributor to overall program business cases. * Assist with planning for the smooth integration of facilities, equipment and product. * Support the wider business functions with the delivery of all program aspects from inception to series production and beyond. * Assist with the analysis and collation of program end reports on all lessons learned * Assist with the delivery of all MDP objectives ensuring all project gateway milestones are achieved. * Support the Manufacturing Engineering Team in the generation of timing plans that support full program delivery activities. Continuous Improvement and Cost Control * Assist the control of cost drivers for the manufacturing engineering team. * Initiate cost control and cost improvement activities. * Conduct work studies to routinely line balance and improve efficiency. * Ensure all equipment is logged for asset control and insurance check. Other * Work closely with, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Assurance and Production Planning to coordinate the smooth integration into production vehicle new models and derivatives. * Work closely with the Engineering and Development organisation throughout the MDP phases to ensure the products are brought to market on time, on budget at the required quality and volume ramp levels So if you are passionate about performance standards then please apply and in return our client offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
