Our client is a successful online business news publication who seeks a highly motivated and inspiring journalist to take their B2b site to the next level and to maintain its number one position within its sector. The business has a large readership but it sees many opportunities for growth in its main market as well as in new niches.As part of the editorial team you will be responsible for writing engaging and thought provoking content, to gain attention of our loyal readers and finds us new ones. You will work with a small team to ensure the magazine is successful, relevant and always first with breaking news. Along with handling the daily incoming stories you will also work on features and interviews with key people in this vibrant and exciting business sector. Key features:· Producing high quality news and content for the website· Working to deadlines for news releases· Interviewing senior retail professionals for exclusive articles· Distributing e-newsletters and managing the companys social media accounts· Editing reports and checking accuracy of content and publishing articles · Initiating partnerships with relevant editorial sources to provide articles for the site· Representing the company in promotional eventsEducation: · Journalism or English degree or equivalent Experience: · 2 years of journalistic experience· A broad digital content understanding, including; SEO, social media, Google Analytics, email optimization and techniques as well as strategies to promote sustained growth of readership. · Strong knowledge and understanding of media law· Excellent oral and written communication skills · Good project management and analytical skills.· Ability to manage and to work as part of a team in a fast paced modern environment.· Ability to remain calm under pressure, and to organize tasks and work environment.We request that candidates send their CV as a Microsoft Word document where possible.
