An excellent position has just become available within this leading, high end UK brand for a Womens' Wovens Designer. This brand, renowned for its fine quality and luxury materials is looking for a Junior Designer, with a few years' strong experience within the industry. Key Responsibilities: * Research and create inspiration boards for the new season * Work closely with the Design team to produce seasonal story boards and colour palette * Choosing relevant fabrics and trims * To bring innovation and a fresh take on designs * Maintaining a detailed understanding of the customer and an awareness of relevant trends to the target market * Ensuring that all designs fit in with initial concepts and stories * Carrying out of regular and detailed research including shopping, Internet and relevant magazine research * Review magazines, fashion press, films and any other media to keep abreast of current trends and future predictions, assessing their relevance to our business * Visit fabric and trade fairs and shows and suppliers to establish directions both in the UK and abroad as required by the business * Communicate with Design team and Buying team to keep informed on all developments * Monitoring key competitor activity (designs / colours / fabrics / price points) through regular comp shopping trips * Presenting clear flat sketches of initial designs including design detail and measurements for ease of supplier understanding * To work with suppliers / manufacturers to produce samples for selection In return the brand is offering an attractive package and excellent prospects.
