Quest Search and Selection is partnering with a FMCG supplier who is currently looking for a Quality Manager for their branded food range. This business has operations in the UK and internationally & is looking for someone to lead the UK Customer & Quality team to make sure all 3rd party and finished products coming through their doors, meet and deliver the exemplary quality and technical standards required.

Responsibilities

• leading and managing all quality audits (internal and external) for the business
• Develop and be a part of the UK & European quality testing plan
• Responsible to ensure a smooth product hand-over from R&D through to launch
• Overseeing all finished product quality assessment and overseeing the reporting & tracking
• recommendation of improvements when needed
• customer services support
• Owning the MSO audits
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with SMETA – Ethical trade audit
• Management of any reactive product recall
• Carry out supplier approval audits and external visits
• Liaison with 3^rd partners to ensure compliance with current food law requirements
• Update BRC certificates, Reports, HACCP, Social Association certificates etc

To be successful in this Quality Manager position-

• Experienced Quality Manager experience with another food manufacturer, FMCG, Supplier or retailer
• Food safety and compliance is essential
• internal and external audit experience is essential
• Ideally have a Food technologist degree or similar
• Great communicator and the ability to build rapport quickly
• Pro-active and diplomatic to handle difficult situations
• Positive and enthusiastic with passion for organic brands
• trained auditor (eg: Campden or similar)
• Problem solver when needing further information or assurances
