CAREER STORIES FROM OUR COLLEAGUES

Hear it from the Questers!

Melisa on her One Year with Quest

Why do you work in recruitment and why Quest?
I don’t really know why recruitment. It’s a job, but it’s a job I like doing so far. My 1 year with Quest has gone by so fast and I’ve learned so much in terms of being able to work more efficiently as a recruiter in a demanding and difficult industry. Quest makes me happy.
What is it like to be working at Quest?
Organized chaos if that makes sense. I come in and make sure I’m having fun while I do my job successfully (I hope). The work environment here is a very good balance of competitive and nurturing. I keep being pushed to my maximum potential and it keeps me on my toes. I love how we were all able to strike a good balance between professionalism and friendship. The amount of support and understanding in the environment is a beautiful thing and it is what makes Quest the best.
What three words would you use to describe the culture at Quest?
Happy, positive and competitive.

Natalia on her One Year with Quest

Few words on your 1 Year with Quest
I cant believe how fast time flies but that’s when you know you’re having fun 😊. I personally enjoy recruitment as it’s satisfying when you’re able to guide people in the right path and help them find their dreams jobs (or at least a job).
What is it like to be working at Quest?
A lot of laughter and jokes and a bit of work 😝. On a more serious note however, I do think Quest as an organization provides the right balance between fun and work which is something I need to keep me going. Management wise, Grant is a very caring and understanding boss and I really do enjoy working alongside him.
What three words would you use to describe the culture at Quest?
Teamwork, Diverse, Fun

Sam’s story – From Grad to Divisional Manager

Why you work in recruitment and why Quest?
I joined Quest as a fresh graduate after completing a BSc in Sociology & Social Psychology at Loughborough. Not having a natural vocation through my degree I knew I wanted a role that was target-orientated as well as being very much focused on people; recruitment sounded like a good option!
What is challenging and rewarding about the role?
The challenge is that no two days are the same! Priorities may change on a regular basis, and it's about developing and managing your workload. The rewards are great financially in recruitment, but there are still other reasons we go to work. At Quest, we create a challenging, rewarding and fun workspace. Quest also have other great incentives such as meals out, trips away and retail vouchers. Being a manager I am keen on growth and developing others to achieve their goals. It’s great to see people you have hired as novices become great consultants that are making a difference with their own development and getting financial rewards.
What have you achieved at Quest?
I have been in the business for 15 years and love the role and the opportunity to develop your own team and business. I have achieved on-going development, management training and developed a diverse portfolio of clients. I have achieved a number of awards during my tenure here including being the highest billing consultant ever in Quest's 25 years of existence! So very pleasing results and not to mention having a successful team who are an asset to the business.
