Amazon is reportedly developing it’s own cloud-gaming service that will bypass the need to purchase costly gaming consoles or high powered PCs in order to play the latest games, as per The Information.
The video game streaming service is expected to arrive early next year as Amazon looks to tap into the gaming market. Other big tech companies such as Microsoft and Google are also making their own efforts to claim territory in the new game-streaming market.
“Amazon has begun talking to games publishers about distributing their titles through its service, which isn’t likely to be launched until next year at the earliest” as per The Information.
Amazon currently has multiple job postings for engineers. The Verge spotted Software Development Engineer, Cloud Games which is seeking the “best developers in the world.. to change the way the world sees digital entertainment”.
