Former Creative Director at Nicole Fahri and Aquascutum Jo Sykes will be launching her eponymous label Sykes making a comeback for Spring/Summer 2018. Sykes originally founded her brand back in 2007, however went on hold after 3 years due to working for Aquascutum in 2010.
The brand’s look is ‘pared back sports lux’ with a 40-piece collection focusing on a lifestyle and way of life. Sykes muses are women who travel therefore her range will reflect the versatile lifestyle of a busy women. The collection encapsulates a simplistic colour palette of off white, red, black and blue with the odd pop colour.
She has used jerseys, fabrications with stretch and don’t crease easily, allowing the wearer to really be in touch with her body. Sykes is working with eco-friendly factories who offer sustainable methods into the production process.
The range will sit within the ‘contemporary’ price bracket with prices ranging from £90 to £750 with a view that the pieces can be worn over and over as they are timeless.
