Community & Environment
As a business we strive to operate in an environmentally and ethically responsible manner. We believe that our business should have a positive impact on our staff, our clients and the wider communities in which we operate.
Our corporate social responsibility program focuses on the following areas:
Fundraising
Every year Quest employees nominate a charity of choice and throughout the year we hold a series of events to raise money. For 2008/2009, staff voted for Clic Sargent, the teenage cancer charity. You can find out more about Quest's fundraising work for Clic Sargent here.
In addition to this company wide effort, we strive to support individual staff members in their own fundraising efforts. Every year, a number of Quest staff take part in the Race for Life, in aid of Cancer Research.
In 2008, Simon Whittington, Quest's Executive Chairman, completed a charity bike ride through the rainforests of Brazil in aid of Regain.
Community volunteering
In addition to our fundraising work, we are keen to help our staff volunteer and take part in community and charity work which motivates them. Staff can request time off outside their holiday allowance to help a charity, take part in a specific event or carry out work in the community.
Reducing our carbon footprint
We are constantly striving to improve the way we do business in terms of our effect on the environment. As well as ensuring that all staff aware of all the ways that they can help to reduce Quest’s energy consumption, we take the following practical measures.
Recycling – We have been recycling white paper and printer cartridges for a number of years.
Ride2Work - as part of the government’s Green Transport Plan, Quest has partnered with Evans Cycles Ride2Work scheme which allows employees to purchase a bike at 50% cost and spread the cost across 12 months. This allows staff to cycle to work instead of driving or using public transport.
