What does a career at Quest involve?
As a consultant, there are two points of entry to Quest:
Account Manager: for experienced recruiters or industry professionals who can demonstrate the ability to develop new business and manage some of our existing relationships from day one.
Account Executive: for recent graduates with some sales, industry or life experience. You will be ambitious and given the opportunity to learn every aspect of the job alongside one of our experienced Account Managers.
In both of these roles you have the opportunity to plan your own career at Quest. Alongside your manager you will use your Quest Career Planner to ensure you’re receiving the right support and developing your skills to move to the next level as quickly as possible.
We have never recruited a manager externally into our business – all of our consultants have joined and developed their own client portfolios and teams organically. In terms of your career, this means you have the opportunity to progress as quickly as your results deserve.
We have an individual commission scheme with clear targets, these are non-discretionary and aren’t dependent on the performance of your team – so you are directly rewarded for what you achieve. The success of your team will dictate how quickly you progress, the more the team succeeds, the more opportunities there are.
What would I need to do to succeed at Quest?
We ask you to be ambitious and personally motivated but never to the detriment of a colleague. You will share information and knowledge with all of your colleagues, to aid the success of the wider business and ensure everyone has equal opportunity to succeed.
We don’t ask you to achieve the impossible and set realistic, achievable targets for all consultants. We have an extensive list of warm candidates and clients for you to work with. New starters at Quest aren’t asked to help us break into a market we don’t know – you will benefit from our experience and we’ll support you to make a success of your area. In return we ask for hard work & ambition.
As a company, we do not like being outperformed! We constantly monitor our competitors and all of our staff work hard to make sure we are superior to them in everything we do.
