Area Manager - Inverness

A market-leading high Street Non-Food retailer is currently an experienced Area Manager to join its team. This business has UK and international connections and is within the top 50 biggest retailer in the UK. This retailer is looking for similar high calibre Area Manager with drive to build capability within their team but also have strategic influence and organisational awareness within a business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence within your team, to ensure that sales and profits are maximised. You will inspire and develop your teams to excel in both sales and customer service through exemplary leadership.

The Area Manager will also be responsible for:

• Driving performance in your area to achieve P&L
• Working to KPIs to deliver continual improvement
• All controllable costs in your area
• Working with Regional Management to ensure company plans are enforced
• Be involved in the strategic and long-term business goals and be able to influence this
• Ensuring scheduled compliance checks are implemented
• Building and developing relationships with existing and potential customers

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong Area Management experience
• Experience of succession planning and manpower planning
• Previously worked for a large commercial retail business
• Demonstrates a high level of emotional maturity and awareness
• Has a track record of success and can demonstrate previous high capability & performance level in last or current business
• A demonstrable track record of contributing to profitability
• Previous P&L responsibility
• Excellent influencing skills and the ability to make sound business decisions
• Experience of financial and competitor analysis,
