Head of Retail -South East - £70,000-£100,000

A Head of Retail opportunity has come up for a reputable service-based retailer on the UK high street. With around 100 stores, this business has a refreshed change of direction and is looking for an individual who can drive the company-wide sales & service through inspirational leadership.

The successful candidate will show passion and pride for the business, be entrepreneurial and show evidence of change management. You must prove that you can lead and take your team with you.

This includes:

• UK Estate - Budgets Business planning– P & L including rent & leases of stores
• Customer experience measure
• Establishing key behaviours and cascading this through the business.
• Cross functional and business relationships with Brand, Visual Merchandisers, central operations and property.
• Managing relationship with boards, executives & shareholders
• Reviewing stores visual merchandising strategy, brand focus and facilities
• Key monitoring of KPI’s
• Graduate Calibre

You must be able to drive a business at a more strategic yet realistic level due to a focus on delivering brand standards. This company is looking for an experienced Head of Retail/Regional or Divisional Controller who will rise to the challenge of working in a customer-focused environment; you must be able to lead and challenge to get results while embracing the visions and values of the business.

This position would ideally suit a candidate who currently within a fashion, homewares, gift or beauty retailer where exceeding sales through customer service & a high quality product is the number one priority. You must thrive in working in an autonomous working environment where you can demonstrate working to pace and working to your own initiative with a fastidious attitude.

Head office is based in the South-East however travel to stores UK-wide is required balanced with home-based working.
