Assistant Merchandiser - Homewares

The opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Merchandiser to join the head office team of one of the UK’s leading retailers based in the East Midlands on a maternity cover basis. The Assistant Merchandiser will be working across Homewares.

As Assistant Merchandiser, your responsibilities will include:

• Using WSSI and OTB to look after budget and forecasting
• Working closely with the Merchandisers and Buyers to maintain Communication and help resolve any issues
• Analysing data to ensure optimum performance
• Assisting in range planning, trading and strategic planning
• Managing budgets with the Buyer

To be successful, you will be:

• Currently be working at Assistant Merchandiser level, within another successful retailer.
• Have a passion for product, design and the industry.
• Have the ability to work successfully within a team or on their own initiative
• Strong analytically
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Able to display self confidence and initiative
• Commercially aware and self motivated
