Food Technologist - South East

This premium end major food retailer are currently looking to expand the Technical function by recruiting 2 Food Technologists.

This is a rare and fantastic opportunity for Food Technical experts to join a business which is a respected market leader when it comes to innovation, quality & locally sourced food. They seek 1 permanent and 1 temporary (12 month contract) Food Technologist.

You will be responsible for your own product range or category within the portfolio, managing new and existing suppliers, auditing and ensuring that standards are the highest possible. You will have ultimate responsibility for product quality, safety and legality in line with the companys and industry guidelines. Input into the NPD process will feature, acting as a Product and Process expert for your customers internally and externally.

Degree educated in Food Science or a related discipline, your background will be the Food industry, ideally with experience of both manufacturing and retail. Specific product knowledge is open, however grocery and produce experience would be an advantage. Proven experience of BRC accreditation and QMS is essential along with strong communication and relationships management skills.
