Assistant Product Manager - Sportswear - West Midlands

This multiple non-food retailer requires an Assistant Product Manager who will be responsible for assisting with developing, negotiating and sourcing sportswear.

Key responsibilities:

• Looking after specific product groups within sportswear
• Assisting the Buyer with supplier negotiations and product sourcing via the UK and Far East
• Delivering on profit and margin across of key categories in the technology area
• Working closely with supply chain to suppliers to ensure accurate stock management & delivery of stock holding targets;
• Developing marketing strategy for product ranges;

You will be responsible for promotional initiatives, store merchandising and multi channel opportunities.

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess strong analytical and numerical skills. You will be commercially aware and have recent experience in a buying or product management position, ideally within a retail head office environment. You will need to have the ability to influence at all levels, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.

This role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to source and buy in products from UK, European & Far Eastern sources. Previous commercial experience at a similar level is essential.
