Senior Merchandiser - Ladies' Fashion - London

The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Merchandiser to join the Head Office team of a well known high street retailer - working within its Ladieswear department.

You would be joining the business at an exciting time, as they prepare to expand the brand further, opening more retail stores and increasing their online presence.

Reporting to the Head of Department you will:

• Work alongside the buying team to ensure that the buying and merchandising plan is achieved
• Create a range plan to optimise space and maximise sales and profit
• Identify and regularly review potential suppliers and negotiate commercially viable contracts
• Monitor and manage the availability of stock
• Manage the OTB
• Manage a team of Merchandisers and Assistants as well as Admin support

The successful candidate will currently be working at Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser level, within a retail head office environment and have proven experience within Ladieswear.

Candidates will only be considered if they come from a high street stores retail background, therefore supplier or importing experience would not be relevant.

Strong numerical skills along with reporting and systems experience are essential, as is the drive to work within a highly targeted, autonomous and fast moving retail environment.
