Junior Buyer - Fashion Accessories - West Midlands

This global high street fashion retailer with over 3,000 stores internationally requires an experienced Junior Buyer of Fashion Accessories, as its expansion continues at an impressive rate, with plans to open many new stores across Europe this year.

As Junior Buyer you will be responsible for:

• Developing next seasons range to keep up with the fashion conscious customer
• Assisting the Buyer with the day-to-day running of the department
• Taking exclusive ownership and P&L responsibility for particular key areas within the department
• Planning, product development and range building as well as weekly, monthly and seasonal trading
• Establishing and landing key trends
• Preparing, participating and presenting in range reviews and sign off meetings.

To be successful you will have:

• A degree or equivalent
• Existing experience as an established Assistant Buyer, or a Junior Buyer in a retailer of similar size and stature
• Experience sourcing jewellery, accessories or clothing, which is essential
• A clear understanding of the market and competition
• Creativity, an innovative approach and pro-active organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail
• The ability to act as a team player with confidence, communicating with colleagues at every level
