Footwear Technologist - London

A leading high street retailer is recruiting for a Footwear Technologist to join its rapidly expanding Accessories team.

As a Footwear Technologist, you will be required to:

• Liaise with off shore factories on all Technical and Quality issues
• Approve test reports, ensuring that all products are fit for purpose and that they meet safety standards
• Effectively manage the product approval process, clearly communicating non-compliance to teams and suppliers
• Demonstrate influence in product development, take initiative to promote development of the product and demonstrate margin improvement
• Work closely with Buying & Merchandising and Design teams to progress effective product development

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong team working ethos
• Footwear experience at any level from Junior Technologist through to Technical Manager
• Experience of Far East travel and factory relationship building, depending on your level
• A flexible approach and ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, team working and communication skills
