Senior Category Manager - Technology

This established, market-leading retailer is looking to capitalise on its recent strong trading by appointing a Senior Buyer to look after its Electricals category.

As Senior Buyer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Implementing key product strategies and budgetary planning for new and existing product categories
• Sourcing innovative products from key suppliers in the UK and further afield and undertaking supplier visits where necessary
• Building strong supplier relationships that will deliver increasing value to the business
• Monitoring the department's performance against key KPIs and adjusting as necessary
• Implementing effective promotional plans
• Working to tight deadlines with regard to product sign-off process and overall buying calendar
• Acting as a key motivator for the rest of your team
• Consistently identifying weaknesses in the brand and acting as appropriate

To be successful, you will:

• Be currently working as a Senior Buyer within Technology, or have experience of this
• Have sound commercial acumen as well as good analytical and communication skills
• Have strong influencing and negotiation skills
• Have experience of managing a Buying team
