Quality Assurance Manager - West Midlands
This leading high street retailer is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager to provide a technical contribution to the development of products, packaging and processes relevant to a particular category. The successful candidate will evaluate product introductions in compliance with company policy, standards and legislation and provide quality improvement, concerns management activities and cost reduction programmes.
The Quality Assurance Manager will also be expected to:
- Manage the risk assessment process, undertaking technical evaluation of new product introductions
- Create a quality assurance plan for the development of products, packaging and manufacturing processes
- Develop packaging requirements including design, alterations and additonal features
- Manage documentation on the products (performance claims, safety warnings, fitting instructions etc)
- Monitor product feedback (complaints, returns, web reviews) and incorporate changes as required
- Interface with suppliers to drive product development, regularly auditing current and new suppliers
The ideal candidate will be:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with IQA qualifications
- Experienced in a similar role within the Retail sector
- Experienced in managing projects as well as overseaas sourcing
- Knowledgeable in quality management systems such as BSEN and ISO 9000
