Area Manager - South East

This market leading retailer seeks an experienced Area Manager to join its team.

As Area Manager you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence within your team, to ensure that sales and profits are maximised. You will inspire and develop your teams to excel in both sales and customer service through exemplary leadership.

Your key responsibilities as Area Manager will be:

• Driving performance in your area to achieve P&L
• Working to KPIs to deliver continual improvement
• Holding responsibility for all controllable costs in your area
• Working with Regional Management to ensure company plans are enforced
• Accountability for Health & Safety plans across your area
• Ensuring scheduled compliance checks are implemented
• Building and developing relationships with existing and potential customers

To be successful, you should have:

• Strong Area Management experience
• Some previous P&L responsibility
• A demonstrable track record of contributing to profitability
• Previously worked for a large commercial retail business
• Experience of succession planning and manpower planning

Experience of financial and competitor analysis would be beneficial but is not essential. Personally, you will be adept at building relationships both within and outside of the business, have excellent influencing skills and have the ability to make sound business decisions.
