Technical Manager - London - £45,000-£50,000

A major UK food retailer is currently looking to expand its Technical function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Your own product range or category within the portfolio
• Managing new and existing suppliers
• Auditing and ensuring that standards are the highest possible
• Product quality, safety and legality in line with the company's and industry guidelines
• Inputting into the NPD process, acting as a Product and Process expert for your customers internally and externally

The ideal candidate will be degree educated or equivalent in Food Science or a related discipline with a strong food industry background, ideally with experience of both Manufacturing and Retail. Specific product knowledge is open, however Dairy & Bakery experience would be an advantage. Proven experience of BRC accreditation and QMS is essential along with strong communication and relationships management skills.
