Financial Reporting Accountant - London - £40,000-£45,000

A leading high street retailer is looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join its team.

The successful candidate will deliver statutory reporting for the group and UK subsidiary accounts, manage and monitor the Group controlled IFRS related figures, ensure ongoing compliance with IFRS, and act as the Group-wide technical point of contact.

Other responsibilities include:

• Annual preparation of the Group statutory and interim accounts
• Assisting external Auditors as needed
• Liaising closely with the Planning and Analysis teams and other departments on year end operational financial information
• Ensuring that the periodic group management accounting information remains reflective of the ultimate statutory outcome
• Preparing (or reviewing where appropriate) all balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis alongside Group senior finance team and provide robust challenge to ensure risks are fully understood
• Timely and accurate external reporting/compliance

The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified or equivalent, well organised and disciplined with regard to meeting deadlines, have strong, up-to-date knowledge and understanding of IFRS and proven technical accounting experience and skills.
