Senior Demand Planner - South East - £40,000-£45,000

A market leading and well-known multi-channel retailer is looking for an experienced Demand Planner / Inventory Manager / Merchandiser or Supply Chain Analyst to join their head office team.

The successful candidate will create, improve and strategise core inventory management processes and systems in order to deliver inventory management goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and implementing a strategic supply chain plan that covers all area of the company including vendor strategy to shipping
• Managing the inventory budgeting process for each specific category
• Delegate responsibilities to the inventory managers and establish and enforce the best practices to ensure category objectives, initiatives and projects are delivered
• Network internally and liaise regularly with product and inventory management teams across the UK and globally
• Work closely with the category team to influence and improve KPIs, to ensure their categories are working in the most efficient, effective way

To apply you must:

• Be educated to a degree level or equivalent
• Have inventory and availability management expertise
• Have category / product line experience
• Have experience within a complex, multi-disciplinary Supply Chain organisation, with direct dealings with internal and external partners to deliver KPIs
• Have commercial awareness in a fast moving environment, preferably within retail
