Buyer - Ladies Knitwear

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Womens Knitwear Buyer, working for a high street retailer, to embark on a brand new opportunity based within Central London.

Working within the Buying team, it is vital that you are hands on and not afraid to get involved within all areas of the buying process. Communication with both the Design and Merchandising teams is essential due to the structure of the Head Office and you must be comfortable and confident when presenting your ideas and findings to others as you will be doing this on a regular basis; consequently maintaining a strong commercial awareness is key.

The ideal candidate will:

• CCurrently be working at Buyer level within Ladieswear, with specific Knitwear experience
• Have confidence managing a team and be able to offer guidance to others
• Possess a good understanding of the principles of Buying, Merchandising and other relevant Head Office departments in order to communicate effectively with all colleagues and meet set deadlines
• Have previous Far East experience, as this role will involve travelling to meet and negotiate with suppliers confidently
• Have a passion for product, with the desire to progress to Senior Buyer and beyond, working across the category.
