Junior Buyer - DIY - West Midlands - £25,000-£30,000

This multiple non-food retailer requires a Junior Buyer who will be responsible for assisting with developing, negotiating and sourcing DIY products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Looking after specific product groups within the mainstream product areas
• Assisting the Buyer with supplier negotiations and product sourcing via the UK and Far East
• Delivering on profit and margin across of key categories in the technology area
• Working closely with supply chain to suppliers to ensure accurate stock management & delivery of stock holding targets
• Developing Marketing strategy for product ranges

You will be responsible for promotional initiatives, Store Merchandising and multichannel opportunities

To be considered for this role, you will have previous Commercial experience at a similar level and need to possess strong analytical and numerical skills. You will be commercially aware and have recent experience in a Buying or Product Management position, ideally within a Retail Head Office environment.

This role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to source and buy in products from UK, European & Far Eastern sources.
