Commercial Finance Analyst - London - £50,000-£55,000

A leading high street retailer is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join its team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all analysis, reporting, and planning of retail performance across the store portfolio. This will encompass all trading aspects and costs affecting stores and you will provide key support to Operations Director, Regional & Area Managers.

Other responsibilities include:

• Key support to Head of Financial Planning & Analysis
• Assisting in the development of store KPI’s
• Preparation of weekly performance analysis and store evaluation for Field team review
• Reviewing weekly performance with the Operations Director to assess risk and opportunities and direct action plans to Regional & Area Managers
• Collating business reviews from Area Managers on sales, payroll and costs to establish contingency plans and asses risks
• In consultation with senior management, delivering a bi-annual stocktake process for all stores and warehouses including the timeframe selection, procedure and expectation definition, physical execution of the counts, data integrity checking, and shrinkage result verification
• Providing business support during the budgeting process and monthly review with Operations department heads
• Ad hoc analysis and decision support to the business
• Key liaison for all financial decision-making affecting the Operations teams

The ideal candidate will have proven experience within a similar role or previous analytical experience within a commercial retail business. You will be ACA or CIMA qualified or equivalent, with strong Excel and Access skills.
